How to Become a Good Photographer !!!??

DISCLAIMER: JUST FOR FUN, NO OFFENCE INTENDED

1. Whenever you see a catchy pic in your friend’s album, avoid the following questions
Nice pic, which cam are you using? Is it a SLR?which Model? (Cam Modela Sonna Matum, nee enna PC SreeRama va mara pora ? )

Nice Pic..Did u really click this or downloaded from Google? Is this a real pic? Is this a real place?
Which software do u use , which version? Original version or from torrent? ( ivlo questions kekra
nerathla neeyey 4 photo eduthu irukalam..theramaya madakrom nu nenapa?)

Oh SLR cam la eduthadhu nala dhan ivlo soopera irukaa? PHOTOSHOP huh ok ok.., Ooooh adan
ivolo soopera iruku photo ( onnum theriyalenaa, ippidi dhan manasa thethikanum)

2. Being very curious or proactive doesn’t help here. Silently click LIKE and watch the comments.
Automatically you will get answer to your above questions!!!!

You may ask how is that possible? ( unna vida extra enthu podravan ethana per irukan FB la,
avan kepaan...nee silenta iru...)

Record the comments that your friend gets from other photographers. Undoubtedly he will
get comments like wow, good composition! Sema orientation! Super selective colouring, Try
with a different ISO, Increase the shutter speed, Reduce the Aperture, Good HDR, Try a tone
mapped pic instead of HDR, use a filter, polarizer, nice perspective, good metering, use center
weighted average next time, good multiexposure shot , so on and so forth. .

After reading the comments, your reaction would be, (“Dei Ennangada Pesikreeenga? But
don’t give up. Ipo, “Client Requirements ...padikum podhu”, puriamalaye Purinja mari oru
reaction kodupa ila... andha reactiona inga kudu...)

3. Take a day off from work and google all the new photography terms you come across in the
comments. You can ask me, why on a weekday and not weekend?
( Nanga Usharla... weekend la panna...., kooda irukara room mate avan laptop screen pakradha
ututtu as usual namma laptop a pathu irupaan.ippidi pala prechana iruku..so solradha seii..)

4. Once you find out the explanation for each term, you will be like.. ( ufffff..this is no big deal..all
simple stuff) Yes.. They are simple!

5. Now, you are all set to comment the next photograph and wait till your friend uploads. This
is a very important phase, don’t be over enthusiastic by asking all the details that you want in
one single comment. If you do so, your friend will easily find out that you are a pucca ‘COMEDY
PIECE’.

6. Be the first person to comment and Starting asking questions one by one, like.. “Great going
dude.. This is a tricky shot”, (though you find it simple)...and what is the ISO? Or shutter speed
and wait..

Your other aspiring shutter buggers will continue with their turn of questions (Is it a HDR or
tone mapped? Prolong the exposure, good light trails)
From the turn of questions, your friend might give a reaction like ( Dei enaku therinja
Sollamatena?)

7. If you feel you are no Novice, then simply ask... ( Dude, can you send me the EXIF Data/Original
pic) This approach is Simple but powerful. Your friend will get bowled over and might reply
(Dood, Are you into photography? And then... he will ask you, which cam do you own? U have a
prime lens or kit lens..? ( Make use of Google every time before you reply)

8. Your confidence level should be little higher by now. Master other terms like ( f value, telezoom,
macro lens, fish eye lens, time lapse, star trail, etc...) All you have to do next is to click a pic and
post)

9. By this time, you will come to know the cam-models, your friends own and buy a cam for
yourself that fits your budget. Start bugging your buddies to come out for a photoshoot and
plan some shoots. Also join corresponding groups in Meetup, FB and flickr and so on...( Yes.. you
are now a photographer in the making... Evlo scene Poda Mudiyumo Podu...)

10. You should always, keep clicking pics nonstop when you are in a photoshoot. Most of the
photographers will be concentrating on one subject. I know you will not have enough space to
focus and click. So Just click a pic, of the photographers clicking that single subject and name it
Candid photography (Man, you have got an Eye for Candid photography now...)

11. Click pics of people who are tired and taking a break. Take a close up, which you can later turn
into Black and white and add it to your Portraits Album
(You are now a people photographer :D Ehahahhahaha)

12. If you feel like taking a break, jus rest your arms with the camera on and... One main thing,
(never stop clicking pics) you will get super duper pics from the angle you hold the cam! :D (
High chances of you to photograph a coconut tree which might resemble Leaning Tower of Pisa
from the angle you hold - Don’t delete that pic- call it Perspective) :D EEEEEEEEEEE.

13. By doing all these, I know you will have to LOL. Hold on a sec...You can still laugh your lungs
out without spoiling the show... Just lie down and turn your ROFL mode ON and keep clicking.
You will get lotta pics with different angles and subjects. ( Now, You are not only a true
photographer but also a DEDICATED shutter Bug)

14. Open your photograph in any popular photo editing software and just play around with the
tools and options for 5-10 minutes. Yes your pic is now edited and ready to be uploaded in
Flickr/FB.

15. Add Watermark, Copyrights and a Border.. Tadaaaaaaaah .. You are now a photographer

Oorukulla, neeyum oru photographera form aiduva..aporam adha appdiye maintain paniko.
